At SMB we are all responsible for encouraging and developing a culture which ensures we all get home safely and in good health.
- All staff are trained in the basics and developed into safety supervisors if they would like to progress
- We have trained our own in house PICOW’s and SPC’s for rail infrastructure work and take pride in our excellent safety record
- Our senior management team ensure they visit and inspect sites at least once every month
- We have a zero tolerance policy to alcohol and drug abuse and hold random unannounced testing throughout the company
- We hold a four star RISQS link up accreditation for Health Safety Environmental and Quality systems
- We hold training and development seminars for all the staff and encourage open and honest exchange of information and trends with our clients and key suppliers
- We have matricies for several key performance indicators relating to health and safety and these are reviewed and revised periodically.
